ISRAEL 28 JANUARY 2022 (VOE WORLD) Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has said his ancestor Benjamin Netanyahu "compromised" him last year when he was battling to unseat the veteran chief.
"Setting up the public authority was exceptionally hard for me. I knew plainly where I was going. I realized I was going to get hit with the mother of all fights," Bennett told Haaretz paper in a meeting distributed on Friday.

"At the point when he understood that I didn't expect to allow him to drag Israel into a fifth political decision, he truly compromised me," Bennett said.
"'Tune in,' he shared with me, 'Assuming I see accurately the thing you will do, you should realize that I will turn my entire machine on you, the military'," he said, relating everything Netanyahu had said to him.
He said Netanyahu followed his remarks by making a motion with his arm as though to specify "a plane plummeting for an assault", Haaretz detailed.
As indicated by Bennett, the previous state head had told him: "'I will send the robots at you, and we'll see'."
Bennett said he imagined that with those comments, Netanyahu was taking steps to release against him "his multitude of bots" of telecasters from TV, radio and web-based media.
"A sort of progress came over me. I understood that everything was laying on my shoulders" and that Netanyahu's re-appointment "would have tossed us into a horrible twist", Bennett said. "I realize that this sounds large, yet I think we saved the state," he added.
The Jewish patriot Bennett became state head in June 2021, after he grouped with alliances going from right to left to Arab Islamic preservationists to end Netanyahu's 12-year rule.
Bennett's alliance won a slender edge of 60 votes to 59 in parliament in June last year, permitting him to shape an administration.
A tech mogul, Bennett was once a partner of Netanyahu. Losing the top employment allowed the hawkish previous head of the state to remain uncovered to fights in court including debasement.
Netanyahu is being investigated for pay off, extortion and break of trust, and could be imprisoned whenever saw as liable. He has denied any bad behavior.
On Monday, Netanyahu denied reports he had arrived at an arrangement with investigators that would constrain him to stop legislative issues.
"I wouldn't have any desire to see Netanyahu in jail, in a detainee's uniform. It's anything but an image that would regard him or the residents of this country," Bennett told Haaretz.
