UN boss urges increasing philanthropic tasks in Afghanistan to save lives

ADIS ABEBA 27 JANUARY 2022 (VOE WORLD) Joined Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told a Security Council meeting on Afghanistan on Wednesday that "first and most earnestly, [the global community] needs proportional up compassionate activities to save lives," notice that a half year after the takeover by the Taliban, "Afghanistan is barely holding on."


"We really want to suspend the principles and conditions that contract not exclusively Afghanistan's economy, yet our lifesaving activities," Guterres said. "During this snapshot of greatest need, these guidelines should be genuinely checked on."
